Welcome to Cambodia

Jooum Reap Soou

Hello! That’s how they greet visitor in Khmer!

The Kingdom of Cambodia is one of the worlds newest and most exciting travel destinations. After years of isolation, Cambodia opened to tourists in the mid-1990s and tourist numbers have increased every year, but still Cambodia is perhaps one of the least known and least visited destinations in South East Asia.

Rising from the ashes of war, Cambodia is well on its way to reclaiming its place as a premier tourist stop. Cambodia’s cultural and diverse attractions can be attributed to its cultural diversity that reflects the country’s rich history dating as far back as the sixth century.

Cambodia shares borders with Thailand Laos and Vietnam, but it can be rough to travel overland between these countries. The most comfortable way to travel to Cambodia is to fly directly to its capital, Phnom Penh, from overseas or via Bangkok to Siem Reap/Cambodia. Cambodia’s luxury hotels, expansive beaches, and grand temples (all at low prices) are great reasons to fly in and stay awhile.
